Jess Pickup
Founder
Great businesses are built on great people, and Pickup People HR was founded on that very belief. Jess Pickup, an experienced HR leader and change specialist, launched the business to help scaling businesses tackle HR with confidence.
After years in senior HR roles—working with PLCs, private equity-backed firms, and fast-moving operational businesses—Jess saw firsthand how businesses struggled to navigate compliance, recruitment, and people management without the right support.

Following a life-changing breast cancer diagnosis, she decided to take her expertise and create a service designed specifically for growing businesses, working directly with owners and founders. Pickup People HR was born, helping businesses build strong HR foundations, stay compliant, and create workplaces where people thrive.

Jess’s passion is making HR simpler, smarter, and more effective. Whether she’s guiding a business through a restructure or mentoring HR professionals, she brings real-world insight and practical solutions that make a difference.
